Wine for Silken Twine Recap (2022)

On Thursday, April 21st, 2022, Silken Twine hosted its third annual wine tasting event called Wine for Silken Twine hosted by Chaddsford Winery to raise money for the charity. It was the first year that the event was held in person and was a resounding success. Silken Twine raised over $6,400.00 to support pediatric cancer patients/survivors and their families with the support of about 35 participants, and help from our gracious hosts Chaddsford Winery! Attendees enjoyed food, live music, and a wide array of local Chaddsford Winery wines. Audrey, Cathy, and Kathleen from Chaddsford Winery hosted the event and guided all the attendees through personalized tastings describing the different wines and their flavor profiles.

It was a great event that culminated in a raffle where participants won gift baskets, gift certificates, and donations from local businesses including Sunflower Boutique, Iron Hill Brewery, Good Will Brewing, Sticky Situations, Lace Silhouettes Lingerie, and Me and My Dog Pet Bakery. We thank everyone who participated, donated, sponsored, and helped organize the event! We’d like to convey a special thank you to our friends at Chaddsford Winery Audrey and Cathy for being such hospitable hosts, providing some delicious food dishes, and making the event the success that it was. Finally, a thank you to Frank Pinto who entertained everyone all evening with his beautiful piano performances. We hope to see you all again next year!
